James Kang’s journey from Seoul to leading a global healthcare recruitment empire exemplifies the power of passion and purpose. Immigrating to Canada at 11, his experiences fueled a commitment to supporting international workers and healthcare professionals. Despite earning a Chemical Engineering degree, James found his true calling in empowering immigrants.
In 2015, James acquired specialized licenses in immigration practice and foreign worker recruitment. He soon founded Global Health Recruitment Firm Inc., headquartered in Halifax with operations across North America, the UK, and the Middle East.
As CEO, James leads a diverse team, combining technical knowledge, immigration expertise, and firsthand immigrant experience to innovate healthcare staffing solutions. His leadership, shaped by cross-cultural insights, fosters an environment where empathy meets excellence.

Keny Francis

Keny Francis, Founder & COO of Global Health Employment, exemplifies the power of cross-cultural experience in shaping global leadership. Born in Bangalore, India, Keny’s journey took him to Australia, where he earned a Master’s in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Southern Cross University. This experience honed his expertise in customer service and deepened his appreciation for diverse cultures.
In 2012, Keny made Canada his home, quickly rising through management positions across various industries. His career pivoted in 2018 when he obtained his Immigration License, allowing him to fully embrace his passion for helping others navigate global journeys.
As COO, Keny brings a unique blend of hospitality background and immigration expertise to Global Health Employment. His diverse educational qualifications and rich multicultural experiences drive the company’s innovative approach to healthcare recruitment. Kristine Joie Danan-Roque's nursing journey spans a decade, from the Philippines to Canada. Overcoming challenges as an internationally educated nurse, she progressed from Health Care Aide to LPN, and finally achieved her goal of becoming a Canadian and US RN.
Kristine's experience covers diverse healthcare settings, including home care, clinics, psychiatric units, and hospitals. Now working in her dream role in the Intensive Care Unit, she credits her success to perseverance and the support of mentors. Inspired by her own path, Kristine is passionate about helping others achieve their nursing dreams, emphasizing that every journey begins with a single step and that nursing offers endless opportunities to impact lives positively.
Emily Gates, RN
NCLEX- RN Educator
Emily Gates is a specialized RN with over 15 years
experience in healthcare. Emily currently works as an Acute Care Clinical Services Manager.
Her background is diverse with experience in
inpatient and outpatient Surgery, Post Anesthesia
Care Unit, Hemodialysis, Ambulatory Care, and various procedure units. Emily has taught the
practical nursing program in NL since 2020 and provides instruction in
theory, lab, and clinical settings. Her passion and
dedication to healthcare is evident and will absolutely benefit her students.
Emily is registered in both Ontario and Newfoundland; her clinical leadership in nursing and management of allied health professionals will provide a well-rounded
education for her NCLEX students.
Darlanne De Guzman, RN
NCLEX- RN Educator
Darlanne De Guzman, a registered nurse with a BSN from PLM (Philippines), boasts over a decade of nursing experience, including seven years in Canada.
Initially aspiring to become a doctor, she redirected her passion to nursing, now practicing in Toronto and licensed in New York State.
Her diverse career spans acute hospitals, rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, and telecare services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Darlanne has excelled in both floor nurse and managerial roles. Passionate about mentoring new nurses, she finds fulfillment in sharing her extensive knowledge.
Ma Jenny-Lyn Nunag-Ecaruan, RN
NCLEX- RN Educator
Jenny, an Internationally Educated Nurse, arrived in Canada in November 2011, as a Health care Aide. She worked in a home care company in Edmonton. In 2012, she challenged and passed the CRNE and became a licensed Practical Nurse. She initially worked in a home care setting and was moved to the office as one of the nursing supervisors, then became the nurse educator and Lead Nurse. She also taught nurses and health care aides how to take care of pediatric clients who have complex respiratory needs. As an Internationally educated nurse, kept having the goal to become an RN in Canada. But the struggle is real, the complexity of the process and how long she had to wait to be in the Bridging program was a long wait. She had to go through NNAS and ARNAP. Then, multiple times she had to do IELTS, and CELBAN for the English proficiency requirements as they expire every 2 years. Finally, in September 2022, she finished the Bridge to Canadian in Nursing at Mount Royal University and successfully passed the NCLEX. She was hired in the Intensive Care Unit and has worked there since.
